From November 30 to December 1, 2023, the 21st Plenary Meeting of the ISO Technical Committee for Machinery Safety (ISO/TC199) was successfully held in Melbourne, Australia. The international meeting brought together 33 experts from 16 Participating Member (P-member) countries. The Chinese delegation, led by Secretary-General Zhang Xiaofei from the China Machinery Productivity Promotion Center Co., Ltd., engaged in in-depth discussions with other international experts.

During this plenary meeting, a resolution was passed to initiate the revision of the ISO 14122 series of standards. China will lead the revision work for ISO 14122-3: *Safety of machinery - Permanent means of access to machinery - Part 3: Stairs, stepladders and guard-rails*. Mr. Chen Zhuoxian, WONSOR's Chief Safety Expert, has been appointed to the important role of Liaison Officer between ISO/TC199 and ISO/TC306.
